Just a month ago, it became known that gold nuggets were found in one of the nickel mines in western Australia.
The total weight of the find was more than 250 kilograms. The largest nugget weighs about 90 pounds. It is difficult to specify the exact value of the found, since nuggets of large weight are usually sold at auctions.
“Australia’s miners usually mine about 2 kilograms of gold per ton of rock. Very rarely do we see similar results. This is a phenomenal and exciting finding,” says Curtin Sam Spearing, head of the Australian mining school at the university.
