On October 12, 1810, the first Oktoberfest took place: the inhabitants of Munich were invited to celebrate the wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria and Princess Theresa of Saxe-Guildburghausen.

1880 - the Kharkov Agricultural Society organizes an agricultural exhibition "with competitive testing of arable tools and threshing machines. At the same time, the annual exhibitions of agricultural seeds were started ...".

1901 - Theodore Roosevelt officially assigned the name White House to the residence of the US President.

1924 - the first All-Union test of aeronautics (8 balloons).

2003 - Michael Schumacher became the first in the history of Formula 1 racing 6-time world champion - he broke the record for the number of champion titles, which belonged to H.-M. Fangio since 1957.

2013 - Two-time Olympic champion Ukrainian boxer Vasyl Lomachenko made his debut in professional boxing in Las Vegas against Mexican Jose Ramirez in professional boxing. He won the fourth round by technical knockout.
