In England, found the ancient boxing gloves

In the north of England during archaeological excavations boxing gloves were found. Scientists dated them to the II century of our era.

The shape of the find, made in the area of the ancient Roman fort Vindoland, reminded, rather, lining on the knuckles, than modern sports equipment.

Archaeologists have found them in a former cavalry hut. One of the gloves was new, the second was all in patches.
