The artist's self-portrait was sold for a record price

Self-portrait of the artist Jenny Savile was sold at Sotheby’s for $ 12,400,000. By this he set a record as the most expensive painting from a living author.

The picture is called "Propped" and it was written in 1992. In the foreground are the famous lines from essays by French feminists Luce Irigarey.
