On June 19, 2019, the auction house Tajan (France) will hold a bid, where a sketch with Saint Sebastian, discovered in 2016, will be offered to collectors. Auctioneers expect to sell a rarity for $ 34–68 million.

The drawing “Saint Sebastian” (1492) is a small sketch with pen and ink, which a retired doctor brought to the auction. On one side of the sheet depicts the ancient Roman martyr St. Sebastian, and on the back - sketches of a candle flame and scientific notes made by a left-handed person (Da Vinci was left-handed).

The fact that this is a genuine Leonardo, confident curator of the department of Italian and Spanish graphics in the Metropolitan Museum of Carmen Bambach.

At the time of discovery, the figure was estimated at 15 million euros, and two years later, after a record sale of the Savior of the World by Leonardo for $ 450.3 million, the price increased.
