In England, scientists completed the reconstruction of the helmet from the Staffordshire treasure of the VII century, which is considered the largest find of Anglo-Saxon precious products.

According to researchers, the helmet owner was King Ped, who ruled in 655-656. The luxurious helmet, fully covered with gilded silver, had a longitudinal comb and extra protection for the ears and nose.

The base of the helmet was not preserved, so the specialists were forced to painstakingly recreate it from 1.8 thousand fragments. Archaeologists, together with the employees of the Birmingham City University School of Jewelery, have been working on this task for a long 18 months.

According to the results of the finding of the findings, for the restoration of the scientists used the skin of metal wood and horse hair on the helmet. On the helmet there are relief images of animals and armed warriors.
