More than six months ago, a New Yorker Matthew Emanuel discovered a metal safe with money on the territory of his home in Staten Island. The find was made during the landscape works in the backyard of the house, where it was planned to plant new trees.

The workers of the landscape company stumbled upon a metal box at the fence and, with the permission of the owner of the house, took it out. After the safe was able to open inside it was found cash, securities and jewelry.

$ 16,300 was well preserved, but about 50 bills worth $ 100 were stuck together and were damaged by moisture. According to the documents found in the safe, it became clear that the owners were the neighbors Matthew, who has lived in this house for four years.

It turned out that in 2011, a safe was stolen from neighbors, which was never found by the police. As a result, the safe and its contents were returned to the rightful owners.
