Archaeologists have discovered in the village in the north of Slovakia treasure of bronze objects, which are several thousand years old.

Bronze jewelery was found in the village of Goselets, in Prešev region Krai Slovakia.

In the hoard there were coins, needles, nails and jewelry. Among other things, small fragments of bronze spirals, funnel-shaped pins and three bronze disks were found.

Archaeologists have noted that the decorations are made quite elegantly and seem to be made of white metal. Perhaps it is bronze with a high content of tin in the alloy. Another possibility is that the alloy was treated in some way, possibly etched with an organic acid. For the Bronze Age, this technology can be called advanced.

The rarest artifacts in the hoard are remnants of skin attached to spirals and disks. This is probably all that remains of the bag in which the jewelry was hidden. Spirals, apparently, were used to close the top of the bag. Organic residues were checked by radiocarbon analysis. It turned out that the age of the bag is about 3000 years.

Such results make it possible to date metal objects themselves by the middle or late bronze age. Perhaps archaeologists have found a kind of secret cache of the ancient "collector", since the age of objects differs very much. This is also only the second time that a processed skin from the Bronze Age has been found in Slovakia.
