New Year's Eve find that has enriched the pensioner from Yekaterinburg

The main task of Christmas tree toys - the creation of New Year's mood. But sometimes they can do it not even on the New Year. This happened to Yekaterinburg, who, thanks to glass balls, hares and pyramids, was able to get rich.

As a rule, they get rid of old Christmas-tree toys, replacing them with new ones. They are thrown away, given away to friends or taken to old garages or cottages.

Vladimir Schneider, a 56-year-old military retiree from Yekaterinburg, found in the apartment received by inheritance from his parents old Christmas decorations. At first, he completely ignored this find. Just an old colored glass, the man thought.

But he drew attention to a very neat storage of toys. Each of them was wrapped in paper and lined with cotton. There were about fifty Christmas decorations in total. At first, stretching out the box, the man was even taken aback.

Antiques expert Vyacheslav Srebny shed light on the pricing policy among collectors.

“These toys were painted by hand; you will not find two identical ones. For each of them, you can earn 1500 rubles. For hand-made toys, the price is 10 times higher than the factory price, Vyacheslav continues. - Especially prized collections of toys. For example, the collection "Tales of the Fisherman and the Fish", which was released in the year of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Pushkin. Gathering them together is very difficult, collectors hunt them. I saw one toy sold on the Internet for 22,000 rubles.”

Vladimir Schneider, having learned about the wealth that has fallen on his head, is in no hurry to sell it. The pensioner believes that in 10-15 years the value of his toys will be even higher, and then it will be possible to think about finding buyers.
