The artist from Madagascar Malala Andrialavidrazan is interesting not only by the origin, but also by the materials from which she collects collages: rare 19th century maps, old banknotes, archival documents. The result is “evidence” of the existence of new worlds — either rewritten Middle-earth or the travel plan to the City of the Sun.

Every detail of a collage is a cultural symbol or ideology, “extracted” from real-life documents that were once propaganda tools. Therefore, when creating collages, she pays attention to each exhibit.

Inspiration comes from many different sources - she does not even understand how this or that idea is born. Although, of course, not the last role is played by education, experience and environment. They reflect both the doubts and the firm convictions that the artist is trying to express in collages.
