For 40 years, an ancient wax tablet with inscriptions in Greek was kept in storage.

This valuable written record of how Greek calligraphy was taught in Egypt will be on display at the British Library. This event is scheduled for the period from April 26 to August 27, 2019.

Among the text on the wax tablet, written by an ancient Egyptian schoolboy, a remarkable quote: "You should take advice only from a wise man."

It is also noteworthy that in the letter of the child, attention is paid to the details. This is especially true alignment of letters and words.

Experts suggest that the ruler was used to establish almost perfect horizontal alignment and to make sure that all the letters were the same height.

Other writing tools used by the ancient Greeks included ink on papyrus and carving on rocks.
