February 2, 1141 the battle of Lincoln was held between supporters of King Stephen and Queen Matilda of Scotland. Stephen's army was defeated, and the king himself was captured, which allowed Matilde to seize power in England.

1348 - Battle of Ströva, near Kovno, between the armies of the Teutonic Order and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania under the leadership of the Princes Olgerd and Keystut. In honor of the victory in Königsberg, the Church of the Virgin Mary (considered the patroness of the Order) was built.
