On February 9, 1893, the first performance of Giuseppe Verdi's Falstaff was performed - the last, twenty-sixth opera by Giuseppe Verdi in 3 acts, 6 scenes, based on Arrigo Boito based on Shakespeare's plays Henry IV and Windsor Naughty Girls.

1900 - 20-year-old American tennis player Dwight F. Davis founds the Davis Cup named after him. The first winner of the Davis Cup was the United States, with a score of 3: 0 winning the UK.

1918 - the Brest peace treaty was signed, according to which the German Empire, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Ottoman Empire and the Bulgarian Kingdom recognized the UPR as an independent state.

1931 - singer F. Chaliapin sued 10,000 francs from the Soviet commercial bureau in Paris for pirated replication of his songs in the USSR.

1942 - in Kiev, the Germans arrested Elena Teligu and other representatives of the Ukrainian intelligentsia, mainly members of the OUN (M).

1963 - the first flight of a narrow-body medium-haul passenger plane Boeing 727 took place. From the 60s to the 80s, the Boeing 727 was one of the most popular airliners in the world.

1972 - the first performance of the new Paul McCartney band, Wings, took place.

1990 - on the coat of arms of Poland, the eagle again found the crown.
