Antiques - antique and valuable items. They are usually bought by people with a high level of affluence. Of course, there are few such people. But in almost every family there are certain things that are passed down from generation to generation. Often this is antique furnishings.

Let's talk about the rules for placing antiques in modern interiors.

1. Play on contrasts. The more contrasts, the more profitable the antique looks. You can place a cracked wooden table next to a mirror washed to a shine, chrome elements, velvet and natural flax.

2. Prefer restoration (if possible) to new products. If you live in a house of the last century, then think twice before changing the rare doors on the door of the MDF. Sometimes new materials simply can not give the apartment or house that chic that gets housing with refurbished antiques.

3. Very well in the bedrooms look antique picture frames and mirrors. They just need to be cleaned from dust and dirt or restored. The main thing here - do not overdo it: do not turn a valuable old thing into a parody, painted with a thick layer of paint.

4. Antique chandeliers and floor sculptures look very advantageous in canteens. A bright accent here can be an antique chair at the head of the table, which is adjacent to a modern set of seats.

5. To support a vintage theme, you can use an old-fashioned mirror duet with antique furniture. The rest of the interior in the room should be revealing new and modern.

Remember, if the style of your interior is far from classical, you should not use more than one antique item. Quite interesting enough cabinets, pouf or sofa.
