Dresses with lush skirts, which were sewed from tens of meters of luxurious fabric, shocked and revolted the public so much that the models who posed for Dior in Montmartre, threw rotten vegetables.
The consequences of the war formed a special cultural and social background. He was expressed in society by the ideas of existential alienation, loss and loneliness. It influenced popular literature, art, and cinema.
It was difficult for people to get used to the idea of a peaceful and secure life. It seemed impossible to forget all the horrors of the experience, and an optimistic look into the future was not given to everyone. Against this background, the image of a woman was also rather gloomy. The world plunged into darkness, and a return to the familiar life seemed impossible.
In the spring of 1945, the French Fashion Houses presented new collections in the Louvre Pavilion. They still reflected some military trends, but a huge number of people had already visited the exhibition.

The display of Christian Dior in 1947 undermined the current morality of the decline of the end. And it's not just luxurious fabrics, rich embroidery in the form of flowering lilies of the valley on the hem of dresses and unusually feminine silhouettes.
The show was a powerful impulse for the whole society to radically renew and move forward. By reviving the bourgeois fashion in abundance and traditional gender perceptions on the one hand, Dior contributed to the modification of production and industrialization on the other.
Hitting the public with new unexpected design solutions every season, the couturier contributed to the development of the industry. This, combined with other factors, has led to an economic upsurge and flourishing in society of optimism and confidence in the future.
Copy and replicate Dior clothing allowed at the official level. So a wide range of consumers had the opportunity to join the new phenomenon. Dior developed a commercial scheme, according to which manufacturers of other countries and retail store owners could sell "official" copies of Dior dresses.
All this caused a certain social community Diorovsky new-look, which in general marked a new stage in the history of fashion.
