March 1, 1555 The first (lifetime) edition of the book “The Prophecies of Michel Nostradamus” was published in Lyon. His astrological calculations contained many mistakes, for which the astrologers of the time criticized Nostradamus.

1815 - Napoleon Bonaparte, accompanied by about 1000 of his supporters, landed after escaping from the Elbe near Cannes, and the second stage of the seizure of power in France began, which was called the “Board of 100 days”.

1941 - the first commercial FM radio broadcast began - W47NV radio station in Nashville.

1954 - The United States conducted a 15 megaton hydrogen bomb test on the Pacific atoll of Bikini. Nobel laureates Bertrand Russell, Albert Einstein, Frederic Joliot-Curie made a protest against such tests.

1966 - during the landing on Venus, the Soviet interplanetary station Venus-3 crashed. Launched on November 15, 1965, it became the first earth object to reach the surface of Venus.

1977 - a monument to the Ukrainian philosopher Grigory Skovoroda is opened in Kiev.

1988 - Apple Computer announced the release of a new CD-ROM device in its Apple II and Macintosh computers. Although CD-ROMs have been known since 1985.

1994 - Stanford University graduates Jerry Yang and David Filo founded the company Yahoo! - one of the first web portals and search sites.
