Wonder plastic, or Bluetooth speakers that save the planet

Rarely do gadgets differ in their artsy design and environmental care at the same time. But the design studio from Brighton Gomi managed to come up with speakers that help recycle the ubiquitous plastic.

To create their own gadgets, designers use only plastic that cannot be disposed of in the traditional way. One column becomes the equivalent of 100 plastic bags.

As a partner, the design studio acquired a local food production plant that uses a large amount of packaging materials. Packages are usually discarded, and invented columns allow you to reuse plastic. Also, the material for gadgets is taken from local stores and residents of the surrounding houses.

Packages melt, flatten and mix with each other. But the plastic does not heat up to the extent that the toxic gases evaporate into the atmosphere, but only to the one that allows the plastic to form a single substance resembling something between marble and chewing gum. Then the material is mixed by hand, which leads to the formation of interesting streaks and streaks. After that, the substance is poured into a mold and pressed to seal and harden the material.

The columns look quite familiar due to the simple rectangular shape and perforated texture, but the unusual pattern of the surface, resembling marble, makes them not only beautiful objects, but also pleasant interior details.
