At the beginning of the 20th century, bright faces, dark eyebrows and delicate red lips were valued. Especially paid attention to the color of the skin. This was due to the smallpox epidemic, which left ugly potholes. To hide them, the ladies used special creams, powders and even resorted to makeup.

But these standards did not stay long. In the 1920s, dark lipsticks on the lips in the shape of hearts began to come into fashion.
