The regional museum of local lore named after Boris Lavrenyov presented an exhibition project dedicated to one of the streets of Kherson - Suvorov street.

This is a small length of the street, just 900 meters. At that time, the largest number of historical buildings was concentrated on it. For her studies, she was chosen because of her popularity with guests and residents of Kherson.

“There were 8 churches of different denominations. And at the very Suvorov, and next. There were educational institutions, cinema, atelier, a famous Kherson pharmacy and many shops. I wanted to tell about everything. Enough and exhibits, and time. But there was not enough space, because the small street was begging outside this hall,” says Victoria Musiyko, a senior researcher at the literary department of the museum.

The exhibition was called "In the maze of old streets." Its goal is to provide an opportunity for museum visitors to experience the atmosphere of old Kherson as much as possible. During the virtual tour, audio and video are used.

“It is very pleasant that I attend the opening of a unique exhibition. I think all Kherson people will be intrigued and satisfied. Everyone who is not indifferent to the history of Kherson could help the opening of this exhibition. We collaborated a lot with the literary and local history museums. Today we see the result of joint work. It inspires us to further develop our city,” says Olga Aleferko, a resident of Kherson, who provided materials for the exhibition.
