Several years ago, a treasure consisting of 100 items was found on the territory of Scotland. Coins, bracelets and brooches, according to archaeologists, dated IV - V centuries. AD

The treasure was discovered on the field, where more than 170 years ago, two workers found 3 elaborately made ornaments of silver. Two large circles of stones were excavated here, one of which dated to the Neolithic period, the second to the Bronze Age (1670 - 1500 BC).

Field research began in 2013. Already on the second day after the start of this, experts found 3 ancient Roman silver coins, as well as part of a silver bracelet and several bent pieces of silver.

Over the next 18 months, archaeologists have extracted about 100 items from the ground. Among the finds were fragments of a silver bowl, spoon handles, a buckle, and a crescent-shaped pendant with rings.

According to the researchers, some items belonged to representatives of local nobility. The coins were minted then not in Scotland, but brought from other provinces of the Roman Empire. Some pieces of silver, apparently, were used as means of payment.
