On May 7, 1941 in Drohobych, Lviv region, a demonstrative trial was held over 62 members of the OUN.

After the Soviet occupation of Western Ukraine, the NKVD tried to destroy the Ukrainian liberation movement. Demonstrative lawsuits were held to intimidate Ukrainians.

A total of 4 demonstration processes were conducted. On October 29, 1940, in Lviv, the “First Territorial Executive Program” took place, from 15 to 19 January 1941 - “Process 59” in Lviv, on May 7, 1941 - the trial of 62 members in Drohobych and on May 12-13, 1941 - the trial of 39 members of the OUN in Drogobych.

On May 7, 1941, 30 people were sentenced to death, 24 people to 10 years in prison, the cases of the remaining 8 were sent for further investigation.

The Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR changed the sentences. 26 defendants were sentenced to death. 1 man and 3 women saved the life. 13 prisoners were confirmed their 10-year sentences, and 19 people were sentenced to terms ranging from 7 to 8.5 years.

The organization of Ukrainian nationalists is revolutionary (OUNR, OUN (p)) also - OUN (b) (“OUN Bandera”), OUNSD (“OUN self-styled statesmen”) - the Ukrainian political movement, whose goal is to establish the Ukrainian Council Independent State, to preserve and its development and the Ukrainian Nation. OUNR was formed in February 1940 as a result of the departure of Stepan Bandera from the OUN of the environment.
