At an auction in the UK for 76,000 pounds a silver flask for brandy, which belonged to the passenger of the sunken Titanic, went under the hammer.

The owner of the flask was Helen Churchill Candy, who traveled on the Titanic. The flask depicts the family coat of arms with the inscription "Faithful, but not happy."

During the sinking of the ship, Helen handed the flask to her friend Edward Kent, a first-class passenger, with the words: "You have more chances to survive than me." Mrs. Churchill Candy survived, and Mr. Kent died with more than 1,500 people in a disaster.

The flask was discovered when his body was found and returned to the Helen family by a relative of Mr. Kent along with a cover letter.

At the auction, besides the flask, the plate with the Titanic lifeboat and the rare silk card written by third-class passenger Henry Olsen for £ 38,000 were sold for £ 45,000.
