It's hard to believe, but this steam engine managed to overtake time. Despite the fact that it was designed in 1935 by engineer Nigel Graceli, he managed to break the world speed record. On July 3, 1938, the locomotive developed a speed of 202,7 km/h.

LNER Class A4 - locomotive, which was specially designed for driving high-speed trains. The contours of its fairing were checked in a wind tunnel at speeds over 160 km/h.

In the 60's such locomotives were no longer used and were distributed among museums and warehouses. But in the 80s they were again returned to the railways as tourist locomotives, transporting old cars on the outskirts of Britain, Canada, New Zealand and other countries.
