“This treasure was found in the area of the city of Geysin. He was supposed to get into a private collection, however, thanks to one of the people's deputies, the people who found him decided, nevertheless, to return the treasure to state ownership. Such finds are exclusively the property of the Ukrainian people,” said Potupchik.

According to him, the treasure was found unknown in the area of the city Gaisin Vinnitsa region. The set consists of an ornamented plastic hryvnia and a necklace of lunnits and pendants of various shapes. This is an unusually beautiful type of jewelry, the analogue of which was found on the territory of the Poltava region. But, unfortunately, he is a “donkey” in one of the private collections.

“Such finds in our country are very rare, since in the V century AD e. communication with the Roman Empire was severed. In Europe, new states begin to appear and the flow of silver to this territory has practically been stopped. The Huns looted everything that was possible, and the early Slavs then practically had no jewels made of precious metals. This is a unique find for us, and it certainly will take a worthy place,” the official adds.

In the near future, the treasure will be exhibited in the museum. This is the first museum exhibit dated to the 5th century BC.
