This selection of photographs of Kievites of the 1980s was made by correspondents of the USSR’s largest TASS news agency. That it had the exclusive right to disseminate information about the life of Soviet citizens outside the country.
Pictures were taken at different times of the year. They depict flower beds with tulips, children on bicycles, greenhouse workers with cucumbers, café visitors, souvenir sellers at winter fairs and factory workers. In general, everything that Kiev lived in the 1980s.
But even despite the absence of bright colors, it is clear that the city and its inhabitants tried to live life to the fullest. Rejoiced every day, overcoming the difficulties encountered.
