Spaghetti - is one of the most common dishes in the world, which began to make the XII century in Sicily. For a long time they were food for wealthy people, until in the 18th century the development of industry made them the main inexpensive product for most Italians.

Today this dish does not lose its popularity, and the process of their production is fully automated. But this was not always the case: in the first half of the 20th century, almost all stages of manufacturing were done manually.

Pasta became popular all over the world after the mass emigration of Italians to America at the beginning of the 20th century. Over time, they turned into a national dish of Italian cuisine. But despite this, many people have long believed that noodles just grow on trees.

In order to make macaroni in the first half of the 20th century, the dough had to undergo a certain process. It shrank, formed, cut and dried. For the latter procedure, even porters were hired, who transferred the noodles to the place of drying on long poles.

In the factories for the production of pasta, everything, of course, was simpler, but also required the utmost attention from the workers. Spaghetti had to be cut after they appeared from the machines, prepare bamboo sticks and put noodles on them for drying.

In spaghetti, workers put in their strength, energy and soul, maybe that is why they have become so popular and loved all over the world. An ordinary product required a lot of effort and time in the manufacturing process.
