In Britain, there is a tradition to give postcards with official photos of the royal family, as well as send other photos to friends and relatives. In May 2019, rare Christmas greeting cards were accidentally discovered with pictures of Princess Diana, Prince Charles with their children, Princes William and Harry, who had lain in a box for 26 years.

Six postcards were found by a relative of Staffordshire spouses - George and Muriel Constable, who used to work in the palace and received congratulations from Prince Charles and Princess Diana for each Christmas. The latest photo was taken in 1999 after the death of Lady Dee, and the first is from 1985.

Each photo contains congratulations and is signed by Princess Diana herself and other members of the royal family. It is noted that the leaflets will be sold at auction on July 31. Each of them will cost at least two thousand pounds.

“We found them in a box that belonged to Muriel. They lay there for dozens of years. We were not sure that they carry any value. Therefore they asked Henson (Charles Henson - the owner of the Hansons auction house) to take a look at them ... Muriel died in 1993, and George - in 2002. I think that the photographs were not touched for 26 years,” said the man.
