Mikhalkov's treasure is unparalleled in value among similar treasures throughout the Carpathian-Danube basin. It consisted of gold objects and weighed 7 kg.

The gold-plated diadem (conventionally called the Crown of Darius), many fasteners (brooches), several bracelets, round badges (flashes), buttons, golden images of wolves, etc. are considered the most valuable. Some objects had a complete analogy with the decorations of the Hallstatt type gold treasure of Hungary.

The treasure in 1878 was found by Catherine and Nastya Danilchuk in the Predolina pasture on the right bank of Nichlava. Most of it went to the Didushitsky Museum in Lviv.

In 1897 in Mikhalkov they purposefully searched for the treasure of S. Russak, N. Stryzhibovt and V. Lacustiak. The found gold objects were taken away by local residents, who were watching the work of archaeologists. Most of the things came to the usurers and was partially melted into ingots.

The Austro-Hungarian government allowed to leave Mikhalkov treasure in Lviv. At first it was an ornament of the collections of Count Vladimir Didushitsky, until 1940 it was preserved in the Lviv Historical Museum, after which it was taken to Moscow. The fate of the treasure is unknown.

A lot of things from Mikhalkovsky treasures fell into private collections, as well as museums in Vienna, Budapest and Berlin. For example, in the Natural Museum of Vienna one whole bowl-char and two fragments of another, a cuff-shaped bracelet, a thin wire scroll, 207 beads, a large darmovis in the form of a reverse pyramid with a ball below, one whole adornment in the form of a badge and three fragments of the other are now stored.

In the Lviv Historical Museum, only galvanic prints and treasure photos are preserved.
