A stamp album, or klyasser, is a special album for storing stamps and other philatelic items These are stitched sheets of cardboard, on both sides of which there are several rows of transparent or translucent strips of tracing paper, parchment, acetate film or other non-absorbent films. For the cassette covers, three types of material are mainly used - artificial, regenerated and genuine leather. What are their differences and what is better to choose the binding, learn from the article.
1. Faux leather binding.
Cover, obtained by chemical-thermal processing of polymers. In many ways, it can be no different from a genuine leather cover. Modern manufacturers with the help of special methods significantly improve its quality. Covers have high wear resistance and are comfortable to use.
2. Binding from regenerated skin.
Cover obtained by chemical-thermal processing of natural leather with or without the addition of synthetic fibers. Binding of this material is more reliable than the previous version. In essence, regenerated leather is a type of imitation leather. But unlike artificial leather, natural fibers are present in regenerated skin.
3. Genuine leather binding.
Special methods of treatment of the skin make it durable, supple, soft, or vice versa solid. In addition, genuine leather is always attractive for its natural texture. But the main feature of this material has always been its extraordinary durability. The properties of genuine leather in many ways exceed the properties of artificial and regenerated leather.
When choosing a booklet, among other things, consider the peculiarities of the material for its cover.
