Archaeologists have found the remains of a building in Norway, which was a kind of morgue. The walls of the house 5 meters long and 3 meters wide were made of boards. A similar design with corner posts had wooden churches. Despite the fact that the building, according to scientists, was very strong, to this day survived a few stones and a moat.
Inside the building during the winter were stored the bodies of the dead, who were buried in the spring in the ground. However, there is a version that such buildings had a special meaning. The Vikings believed that if you leave the body inside the house, in the future the soul will remain inside the mound, and will not wander around in the form of a Ghost. Excavations are planned to be carried out at least during the autumn.
