Not far from the Egyptian settlement of Sakkara, archaeologists during the study of the territory near the necropolis found another burial. Scientists suggest that once there were buried workers, and possibly middle-class people.

Burial is estimated to be about 2,000 years old, and it is unlikely that it belongs to the elite. In addition, many of the mummies found in the area last season were very modest. When embalming them treated only superficially, using basic procedures. Many of them were placed directly in pits, without ornaments and coffins. Some of them were found near the pyramid of Djoser. Only one coffin was preserved well enough to be examined, and it even had gold jewelry on it.

After studying this coffin, researchers have not been able to understand what the symbols depicted on it mean. Perhaps the decoration of the product was done by a craftsman who could not read, and only reproduced what he had seen earlier in a different order. Thanks to the findings, historians can conduct research to tell more about the stratification of Egyptian society 2,000 years ago.
