Exploring the coast of Mallorca in Spain, underwater archaeologists have found 93 amphorae, whose age reaches 1700 years. Most of these vessels are intact, and can still store the contents. The discovery is located 50 meters from the shore, around the amphorae, the researchers found a large number of shipwrecks.

It is believed that this ship traders transported their goods from Rome to the Iberian Peninsula and back. Terracotta containers are located in the hold, where they are neatly stacked. Scientists are trying to understand what is inside these amphorae: wine, oil or something else. During the study, first attempts will be made to read the inscriptions on the walls, and only then, perhaps, the amphorae will be opened.
