Ancient treasure trove discovered in Crete

Among the ruins of the Minoan Palace, located on the island of Crete, archaeologists have studied the room with a colonnade, which probably led to the throne room. A treasure trove and part of a metallurgical workshop were found nearby. Here archaeologists found several figurines, seals, jewelry, clay pipes, as well as many ceramic vessels that were used in various rituals.

Minoan civilization was highly developed, and existed in III-II thousand BC. The inhabitants of this state processed bronze, created ceramic masterpieces and built multi-storey palaces. One of such palaces age 3,5 thousand years discovered in 1982, around him was perched settlement, and nearby – a graveyard of. Near this Palace, scientists found the remains of another, more ancient structure, where the Treasury was found.
