In West Cumbria, United Kingdom, an Amateur archaeologist found a gold ring made during the Bronze Age. Billy Vaughan was walking near his home, exploring the area with a metal detector. He had studied the site more than once, and had dug up some silver coins, buttons, and other small change. However, this time the digger was lucky-under a layer of earth was an ancient gold ornament.
The object turned out to be a very large artifact, which once long ago served as a decoration to demonstrate the prosperity of its owner. The jewel was at a depth of 13 cm. the weight of the object is 312 grams, the artifact was estimated at 11 thousand pounds. If the find is recognized as a national treasure, it will have to be sold to the Museum at a set price.
