Section "Faleristics" at auction Violity pleased fans of the rare awards beautiful lot. Last week, the Order of St. Stanislaus, 2nd class, was sold. The cost of the item was 47.1 thousand hryvnia. This order was awarded to about 92 thousand people. The order was founded on may 7, 1765 by the Polish king and Grand Duke of Lithuania Stanislav August Poniatowski. At first it was the award of The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Duchy of Warsaw and the Kingdom of Poland, and in 1831 it was awarded along with the order of the White eagle in the Russian Empire. The order of St. Stanislaus was awarded mainly to officials. At first, the award of the order of any degree granted the right of hereditary nobility, but since 1855 this right has remained only in the presentation of the order of the 1st degree.
