Under Lviv street found a dungeon with artifacts

A few days ago in Lviv during archaeological excavations was found an ancient dungeon with the remains of a stone wall. Pieces of tile and pottery were dug up. In addition, among the finds were coins issued in different periods. Judging by the location of the dungeon, researchers have suggested that it was once the crypt of the Church of the Holy Trinity.

In addition to artifacts, human bones were found in the room. Now they are with anthropologists who study the remains. What the further fate of the excavations is unknown, as the repair of the street, which does not provide for archaeological supervision, continues nearby.
