The photos and postcards below depict the Italian city of Turin at the turn of the XIX and XX centuries. Turin is famous for its Baroque buildings and in the middle of the XIX century managed to be the capital of Italy for three years. The city is located in a picturesque place and stands out for its beauty thanks to the wide streets, squares, castles and temples. In 1895, approximately 350 thousand people lived here. In Turin there were factories, including weapons and artillery, workshops for the manufacture of pianos, matches, hats, fabrics and other enterprises. They came here to study at the veterinary school, technical and engineering school, Seminary and other educational institutions, including the University.
