Mexican archaeologists have unearthed ancient pits that were once traps for mammoths. According to scientists, the age of the finds is 15 thousand years. The traps were found during archaeological excavations in Northern Mexico. Historians have come to the conclusion that primitive people used to catch giant animals a long ditch a few tens of meters deep.

Animals driven by ancient hunters into these pits could not get out of them. After that, people could beat mammoths to death. The guess is confirmed by mammoth bones found at the site. To more accurately determine their age, the fragments will be sent for examination.
