In the County of Oxfordshire (England) Amateur archaeologist Peter Cross dug out of the ground an old false jaw, made in the XIX century. According to Peter, at first he thought it was sheep's teeth, but after cleaning the object, a gold plate was discovered. After studying it is established that artificial teeth are made of bone of a Hippo or a walrus.

The jaw belonged to a rich man. The cost of the product had to be at least 200 pounds sterling, which by the standards of the time is very, very much. Since the artifact was found on the side of a small hill, it has been suggested that the owner accidentally dropped it from his pocket while walking or riding a horse.

On November 25, it is planned to put the find up for auction. According to preliminary estimates, the cost of the lot will be 3-7 thousand pounds. The proceeds will be divided between the search participants and the landowner.
