At an auction in Paris, the society of the Bronte sisters acquired a miniature manuscript of the English writer Charlotte Bronte. The collection includes three unpublished stories. The cost of the lot in the bidding process reached 780 thousand euros.
The manuscript "Magazine for young people" was created in the summer of 1830. Then the writer was 14 years old. The size of the book is quite small - 35х61 mm. in 2011, fans of the writer's work have already tried to buy this work, but eventually lost the auction. This time the Society managed to raise money to buy a book. According to the Society, they plan to return the manuscript to the Bronte house, which now houses a Museum dedicated to her and her sister, Emily Bronte.
