The Central Bank of Ireland announced the release of another coin, which will be the last in the series "Modern Irish musicians". Dedicated silver novelty singer Phil Lynott. On the obverse is a portrait of the musician, on the reverse - the national symbol of Ireland (harp) and the year of issue.
The novelty will go on sale on November 27, 2019. The coin can be purchased with a case and a certificate of authenticity. The last coin of the series was sold out in the first days after the release, so numismatists should carefully monitor the appearance of a new copy.
Phil linott was born on August 20, 1949, and has been interested in music since childhood, having been influenced by bands such as Motown and The Mamas & the Papas. In 1969 he founded the team of Thin Lizzy. Became famous thanks to hits The Boys Are Back in Town and Jailbreak. On January 4, 1986, the musician died of pneumonia.
