Friday 13: a normal calendar day or a mysterious, superstitious number?

When the 13th day of the month falls on a Friday, it is considered unhappy. Friday the 13th is surrounded by superstitions, secrets and various signs.
It is believed that the woes that occur on this day have a religious background. It would be on this day that Eve tasted the forbidden fruit, Cain killed Abel and Jesus Christ was crucified.
On Friday the 13th, all the evil spirits fly to Bald Mountain on the Sabbath. There are witches and ghouls, and at midnight Satan becomes a participant in a dark act.
The ancient Romans believed that this number is connected with death, the other world and brings misfortune to all mankind.
On this day it is not recommended to travel, because there is a risk not to return home.
It is also forbidden on Friday the 13th to lift any items from the road. This applies even to money and precious jewelry. Such findings can attract unhappiness.
Some modern doctors do not prescribe operations for this day. Already agreed carry. They are convinced that the risk of an unsuccessful outcome doubles. British surgeons have canceled half of the operations, which are scheduled for Friday the 13th.
