For centuries, composers have recorded their creations on paper by hand. Over time, there were special devices whose task was to facilitate record-keeping. One of these devices was the Keaton typewriter.

The first invention was patented in 1936 – then the device included 14 keys. In 1953, an improved version with 33 keys appeared. Thanks to the device, it has become much easier for publishers, teachers and musicians to distribute music notes.

The typewriter is equipped with a scale shift knob located to the left of the circular keyboard. Moreover, the device contains two keyboards – one larger and the second smaller. You can use the keys to enter notes, pauses, and various symbols, such as sharp or flat.
