In Poland, in the waters of the Vistula river, archaeologists have found the remains of a ship that sank several centuries ago. Experts from the archaeological society with the support of the University of Warsaw studied the bottom of the river, covering a fairly large area of several kilometers long. During the research, they found several sunken ships, but this one is distinguished by its large size and good condition.

For further analysis, more favorable conditions are needed, but the river has a fast current and too muddy water, which interfere with archaeologists. Therefore, the detection of smaller objects that could be transported by the ship, we are not talking yet.

Historians believe that the cargo ship belongs to the type of ships that were common in the XIV–XVIII centuries. It was 37 meters long and 6 meters wide. A similar discovery was made two years ago in the city of Czersk. In addition to the ships, the researchers found the remains of a bridge that was built by the Germans during the Second world war.
