For the four-day visit of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to Islamabad, Pakistan presented a new copper-Nickel coin with a face value of 40 rupees. On February 17, the novelty was shown to the guest – the coin is unique, since previously copies of this denomination were not minted here. The coin has a diameter of 27.5 mm and a weight of 8.25 g. the coin shows the date "40 years" and two inscriptions: "International conference "on the top and "Afghan Refugees in Pakistan" on the bottom.

40 years ago, Pakistan granted asylum to residents of neighboring Afghanistan for the first time. Despite internal problems, Pakistan has sheltered Afghan refugees who have escaped persecution for various reasons. Some of them returned to their homeland, but many still remain here. On February 16, an international conference dedicated to this topic was opened.
