The World Cup is over, the winners are known, the cup waited until its hour. How did they make one of the main football trophies? The Italian masters slightly opened the veil of secrecy.

The mock-up of the cup was designed in 1970 by the artist Silvio Ghazzanigoy. Once it was he who won the competition and got the right to create a trophy of the World Cup. Since then, according to his sketch, the Italian company GDE is working for them.

First, the goblet is ground out of brass, then the parts are filigree cut. Further it is polished and placed in a bath for galvanizing.

Then the cup is covered with a special varnish, dried and inspected for the last time.

However, despite the responsible task to create a World Cup, they have other everyday activities.
