Last year, Cameroon issued a beautiful coin with the image of the Church of St. Francis, which is located in Krakow. The new product went on sale recently, but the circulation is very limited – only 500 copies. The coin is made of 999 silver weighing 62.2 g and contains a colored glass insert in the form of a miniature stained glass window. This part is made very skilfully and repeats the image of a real stained glass window that adorns the Church. The issue of the coin is also associated with the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Polish poet and painter stanisław wyspiański, who created the stained glass Windows. The face value of the coin is 2000 francs.

The Church was built in the XIII century. It Is one of the first buildings in Krakow, built of Sandstone. During its existence, it was expanded and rebuilt several times. In 1850, he survived a fire. Wyspianski worked on stained glass in the nineteenth century. His works combine modernist ideas and folk-historical motifs.
