In Israel, during a family walk in the ancient city of tel Jemmeh, a boy found a small clay plate, which was reported to historians. It turned out that this find is about 3.5 thousand years old. A small square plate with sides 2,8x2,8 cm depicts two people - it is assumed that this scene shows the struggle for power in the society of the ancient state of Canaan. Probably the human figures are the warrior and his captive.

Such finds during archaeological research in Israel are very rare. A similar object was previously discovered only in the North of Sinai, but little is known about it – the excavations were conducted 100 years ago, and the descriptions of the artifact are not quite accurate.

Tel Gemme is located on the territory first inhabited 6 thousand years ago. Before the Hellenistic era, life here was full of life, but by the first century BC, the city fell into decline. References to the settlement are found in various sources found in Egypt during the excavations of the city of El Amarna. It is established that in the Central areas of tel Gemme lived the nobility-about 1500 people, the rest lived closer to the outskirts.
