In the last article about numismatics we focused on the coins of Ukraine, USSR and Poland. Today we will continue our story.

Medieval coins are a huge variety of eras, rulers, types of coins. There is a millennium of Byzantine minting and coins of the first Christian kingdoms and thalers of German principalities. It is impossible to describe in a brief overview all the variety of Medieval coins, in the future we will try to do this in stages.

Nothing beats the diversity of the numismatics of the East. In the future, we will devote a separate story to each section - now we will simply list what treasures await a true connoisseur of coins. 2.5 thousand-year history of coins in China and India, coins of Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia. And of course the whole world of Islamic coins - and the coins of the Arab Caliphate, the first in the world on which the year of minting, the Golden Horde, the Ottoman Empire and many other equally interesting directions is indicated.

Coins of the Roman Empire are an interesting and at the same time very accessible topic. As for understanding - all the inscriptions in Latin or for provincial in Greek, and for the price. The cheapest coins in Rome can be bought for a couple of hundred hryvnias, but at the same time the cost of rare specimens in good condition can reach hundreds of thousands of dollars. That is, you can choose according to your wallet.

And finally, the coins of Ancient Greece are the oldest in Europe, and at the same time the most elegant. The coin carvers believed in all the deities that were depicted on the coins. The coins of Ancient Greece were and remain the standard of aesthetics for all subsequent monetary systems.
