Collecting coins of independent Ukraine has several directions. The most massive and interesting area for a real numismatist is collecting rare copies of everyday coins. The coins were minted during the entire period between the declaration of independence and the introduction of the hryvnia into circulation in 1996. These were years of experiments to improve the technology of minting national coins.
Today, for numismatists, the very coins that came out in small batches are very valuable. This period gives a lot of rarities, and Violiti is the very source that will help you to form and constantly replenish your collection.
Initially, instead of a penny, the hryvnia was to be divided into 100 steps instead of 100 kopecks.

Among everyday coins there are those issued in small editions to the order of collectors. The issuance of such coins was apparently not authorized by the NBU

And here is a trial hryvnia with a smooth herd

Before the release of the hryvnia into circulation on trial coins, the date on the edge may not coincide with the date on the reverse. These are also numismatic rarities. These copies are 1 hryvnia in 1996 with a herd of 1995 and 1 hryvnia in 1992 with a herd of 1996.
